Impact Workforce Solutions is seeking dependable Merchandise Handlers to join our team at a leading distribution center in Springfield this role youll help keep products moving efficiently throughout the warehouse by receiving stocking picking packing and preparing merchandise for shipment.

What Youll Do

• Unload merchandise from inbound trailers and verify shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
• Receive sort stock and organize inventory within the distribution center.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse technology.
• Stack load and stage merchandise for outbound shipments.
• Wrap and prepare products for shipping using shrink-wrap equipment and other packaging tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
• Safely operate pallet jacks hand trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work area.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse distribution logistics or supply chain experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and maintain accurate counts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Willingness to be trained and certified to operate material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for up to 8 or more hours per shift (up to 510 miles daily).
• Frequently lift and move 2050 pounds.
• Occasionally lift up to 85 pounds.
• Perform frequent bending twisting kneeling reaching pushing pulling crouching climbing stairs and stooping.
• Use hands for gripping lifting scanning and handling merchandise throughout the shift.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

This position is located in a distribution warehouse environment. Team members may work indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to varying temperatures and warehouse conditions. Required personal protective equipment including safety shoes and high-visibility vests must be worn as directed.
