Position: MEP Superintendent

Barton Malow is seeking an MEP Superintendent to join our team in Columbus this role youll promote and enforce a safe work environment while supervising and coordinating trade contractors to ensure work is completed on schedule and in accordance with the contract documents. This position provides field oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors and is responsible for the mechanical electrical plumbing and special systems coordination and installation needs of our projects all while delivering a quality product to the owner.

Responsibilities:

• Enforce corporate safety policies in the field holding key responsibility for jobsite safety compliance and proactive pre-task planning for all work activities.
• Supervise coordinate and sequence contractor work to maintain productivity and prevent conflicts between trades.
• Facilitate mechanical and electrical overhead coordination across mechanical rooms electrical rooms and congested spaces.
• Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule and manage work to keep activities on track.
• Develop site logistics plans that maximize productivity and minimize impacts to building occupants.
• Oversee creation and completion of the MEP punch list ensuring installation meets drawings specifications and quality standards.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by enforcing contract requirements and limiting field changes; assist with developing work scopes and front-end documents that comply with applicable trade jurisdictions.
• Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and resolve conflicts and disputes promptly to minimize delays and claims

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in roles involving mechanical electrical and plumbing systems.
• Prior superintendent experience preferred.
• 4-year technical/engineering degree or equivalent field experience.
• Prior experience on healthcare projects preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
