Mental Health Tech (MHT)

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our Parkview Geriatric Wellness Departmentin Bolivar Missouri someone who leads with skill compassion and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

• Status: Full time
• Work Shift:Nights
• Shift Differential:$1.50 for weeknights $3.50 for weekend nights

What Your Day Looks Like: Parkview Geriatric Wellness Center provides compassionate specialized care for older adults facing challenges such as memory concerns emotional health issues life transitions grief loneliness and behavioral changes. Our multidisciplinary team develops individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs offering comprehensive services that may include psychiatric evaluation and medication management psychological testing nursing care individual and group therapy family support social services activity therapy physical and occupational therapy and complete nutritional assessments. Through a collaborative patient-centered approach we help patients and their families improve quality of life and navigate the complexities of aging with dignity and support.

As a Patient Care Techyou will be:

• Preparing patients for meals serving and collecting food trays and nourishments and documenting intakes
• Handling and caring for resident clothing andpersonal property protecting fromdamageand assuring proper storage
• Making rounds to assigned patients accommodating patient needs
• Ensuring safeappropriate nursingcare is administered and problems reported to the charge nurse for follow-up action

Qualifications:

Education:High School Diploma (preferred).

Experience: None! We provide on-the-job training for those looking to obtain their CNA.

Skills: Good Communication Patience Attention to detail flexibility Intrapersonal Skills.

Licensure/Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR (we assist with obtaining this) within 6 months of employment.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10% of shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
