Mental Health Coordinator I Lead Mental Health Specialist

• Coordinate services including individual finances activities behavioral supports healthcare nutrition family involvement education/vocational services and household management
• Assist supervisors with maintaining consistency in programming staff communication and overall quality of care
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and support
• Support implementation of behavior support plans treatment plans functional assessments and person-centered plans
• Provide direct support and hands-on care during assigned shifts including personal cares and daily living support
• Utilize de-escalation techniques crisis intervention and positive behavior support strategies when assisting individuals with complex behavioral or mental health needs
• Build and maintain professional relationships with individuals served families and interdisciplinary support teams
• Assist with household tasks meal preparation medication support appointments community activities and general upkeep of the home
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation and communicate important updates concerns and progress to supervisors and team members

Qualifications :

Required (Must-Have): 

• High school diploma or GED 
• Valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance 
• Basic computer skills 
• Minimum of two years experience delivering behavioral health services 
• Minimum of one year of lead experience in residential services or a two-year degree in a related field 
• Ability to support individuals with significant mental health symptoms including physical or verbal aggression property destruction chemical dependence brain injury and cognitive impairments 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand walk bend squat and remain active for extended periods 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 

Skills & Abilities: 

• Demonstrated experience using de-escalation techniques conflict resolution and positive behavioral supports 
• Strong observation counseling and assessment skills
• Strong teamwork skills and openness to feedback 
• Ability to work one-on-one and in group settings 
• Strong time management and self-management skills
