This position is funded for 12 months; continuation past 12 months will be based on university need performance and/or availability of funding.POSITION SPECIFICS
The Athletic Analytics Specialist supports the success of a high-performance collegiate athletic program by delivering advanced data analysis strategic insights and operational support; is responsible for evaluating athlete team and opponent performance; collaborates closely with coaching staff to develop data-informed strategies scouting materials and performance reports that enhance competitive outcomes.
Analyze practices game performance and opponent tendencies to deliver actionable insights that inform coaching strategies game planning and in-competition adjustments
Prepare review and interpret individual athlete unit and team performance data using advanced analytics tools and video analysis platforms
Generate detailed scouting reports playbooks call sheets schemes and scripts for coaches
Develop preliminary scouting reports and strategic schemes in advance of practices and competitions
Create and deliver self-scout reports to evaluate team tendencies strengths and areas for improvement
Perform quality control duties including charting plays and statistics maintaining depth charts and evaluating game film in collaboration with the coaching staff
Coordinate the collection integration and distribution of data ensuring timely access for coaches and staff
Support the coaching staff by preparing organizing and maintaining materials essential to the successful operation of the program
Identify trends and performance indicators through statistical analysis predictive modeling and video breakdown
Coordinate meetings between the program external consulting partners student-athletes and families to support informed decision-making processes
Oversee relationships with external stakeholders including agent consultants ensuring student-athletes receive appropriate guidance during the agent selection process
Facilitate communication and logistics between coaching staff analytics providers and program leadership
Ensure accuracy consistency and integrity of all performance data reports and analytics systems
MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree 1 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid drivers license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.SALARY & BENEFITS
