Job Summary

This position is funded for 12 months; continuation past 12 months will be based on university need performance and/or availability of funding.

POSITION SPECIFICS

The Athletic Analytics Specialist supports the success of a high-performance collegiate athletic program by delivering advanced data analysis strategic insights and operational support; is responsible for evaluating athlete team and opponent performance; collaborates closely with coaching staff to develop data-informed strategies scouting materials and performance reports that enhance competitive outcomes.

  • Analyze practices game performance and opponent tendencies to deliver actionable insights that inform coaching strategies game planning and in-competition adjustments

  • Prepare review and interpret individual athlete unit and team performance data using advanced analytics tools and video analysis platforms

  • Generate detailed scouting reports playbooks call sheets schemes and scripts for coaches

  • Develop preliminary scouting reports and strategic schemes in advance of practices and competitions

  • Create and deliver self-scout reports to evaluate team tendencies strengths and areas for improvement

  • Perform quality control duties including charting plays and statistics maintaining depth charts and evaluating game film in collaboration with the coaching staff

  • Coordinate the collection integration and distribution of data ensuring timely access for coaches and staff

  • Support the coaching staff by preparing organizing and maintaining materials essential to the successful operation of the program

  • Identify trends and performance indicators through statistical analysis predictive modeling and video breakdown

  • Coordinate meetings between the program external consulting partners student-athletes and families to support informed decision-making processes

  • Oversee relationships with external stakeholders including agent consultants ensuring student-athletes receive appropriate guidance during the agent selection process

  • Facilitate communication and logistics between coaching staff analytics providers and program leadership

  • Ensure accuracy consistency and integrity of all performance data reports and analytics systems

MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree 1 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid drivers license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position including all possible grades is $34800.00 - $50500.00.
