Were looking for a compassionate caregiver to support a wonderful client living with memory loss:

Weekday Caregiver: MondayFriday 2:00 PM8:00 PM

This is a wonderful opportunity for a caregiver who enjoys building a genuine relationship with a client and becoming a familiar trusted part of their daily routine.

This could start out as needed and grow into a more consistent schedule

What Your Time Together Will Look Like

Your role will be centered around helping our client feel safe supported and respected while encouraging as much independence as possible.

You could possibly provide:

Personal care and assistance with daily routines
Companionship and meaningful conversation
Memory care support with patience reassurance and gentle redirection
Assistance with meals snacks and afternoon/evening routines
Encouragement and engagement throughout the shift
Assistance with maintaining a safe and comfortable environment
Support as the client transitions from the afternoon into their evening routine
A reassuring and supportive presence for both the client and their family

And sometimes the most important thing youll do is simply slow down be present and meet the person where they are.

This client has cats in the home so youll need to be comfortable working around cats.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for someone who is dependable compassionate patient and comfortable working with individuals experiencing memory loss.

Requirements:

At least 1 year of caregiving experience in a facility or with an in-home care agency
Experience caring for someone with Alzheimers dementia or another memory-related condition
High school diploma or GED
Valid drivers license reliable vehicle and auto insurance
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Three professional references
TB test within 30 days of hire
Excellent communication skills
A patient compassionate personality and a genuine heart for older adults
Comfortable working in a home with cats
