Job Summary
Job Overview
Works in partnership with the Assisted Living Director to assist with orienting and training new Care Managers as well as in assisting residents with all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the residents care plan including personal care food service housekeeping laundry behavior management socialization and activities. Supervises Care Managers and assigns shift duties and/or assignments in the absence or in conjunction with the Health & Wellness Director.
Salary Range: $26.00 - $28.00 Hourly
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervises Care Managers and assigns shift duties
- Acts as a mentor and role model for all Care Managers in the community.
- Assists the Assisted Living Director with finding replacements for shift call-outs
- Assists with medication administration (N.J.) in compliance with state regulations and Certification.
- Provide resident care to residents that include bathing dressing toileting and feeding as outlined in their care plan
- Maintains the safety comfort dignity and confidentiality of all residents
- Encourages and escorts (when needed) residents to meals and activities
- Ensures all assigned residents are clean neatly dressed and groomed safe and fed during assigned shifts
- Documents all services provided to assigned residents during your shift
- Monitors and reports any change of condition in a resident immediately to your supervisor
- Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
- Ensures compliance with all Federal State and local regulations as well as community policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED. At least 3 years resident care experience required.
- Maintain state licensing requirements where applicable.
- Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population preferred dementia experience
