Astrocade is an AI consumer lab and interactive content platform that lets anyone create games and interactive experiences with generative AI. It has passed 40M users is doubling every three months and serves 200M gameplays a month ahead of its US launch.

Founded in 2022 Astrocade has about 25 people from Google Research Meta FAIR and Stanford and has raised $100M from investors including Sequoia Google and NVIDIA.

Astrocade is hiring a Frontend Member of Technical Staff (7 years Staff/L6 level) to help scale as it prepares for its US launch. Think of it like joining a major consumer platform in its early days: high ownership no politics and the architecture challenges of a product already serving tens of millions of users. You will report to the founding frontend engineer and guide technical direction as a senior individual contributor.

• Own and build core user-facing features across creation and discovery on using React and React Native.
• Solve scaling and performance challenges as the platform doubles users every three months.
• Work across the full frontend stack from caching and server pages on Vercel to authentication and backend integration.
• Ship new features daily in a fast-moving zero-to-one environment.

• 7-12 years of frontend engineering with React on consumer-facing products at Staff (L6) level
• L6-level experience at a top consumer tech company or equivalent
• Frontend experience on consumer platforms or marketplaces at scale
• CS EECS or equivalent degree from a top-50 university
• Takes ideas independently from concept to shipped product; decisive and fast-moving
• A Staff-level IC focus (not seeking to manage)
• Ability to work in the Palo Alto office 4 days a week

• Backend code that connects to the frontend
