Nucor Steel Jackson is seeking an electrician who will promote safety as our #1 value while ensuring consistency and reliability in mill operations. This person must have the desire to learn and find solutions for safety quality and production processes. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards always. Other roles of the electrician include but are not limited to installing maintaining troubleshooting repairing electrical and automation equipment and improving mill reliability. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- 5 years industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC software and hardware.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work overtime weekends holidays and rotating shifts as needed.
- Associate degree or greater in electrical technology or similar program
- ABB AC C DC Drive experience
- Function Block programming language experience
- Familiarity or prior training in NFPA70e Electrical Safety
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic controls experience
- Overhead Crane Maintenance experience
- Medium Voltage Switchgear experience
