Job Title:Medical Physician LGBTQ Services

Position Summary
The Medical Physician is responsible for managing individualized patient health plans to promote and restore health and well-being. This role involves diagnosing and treating medical conditions developing treatment plans educating patients on preventive healthcare and providing ongoing clinical care. The physician works collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered services particularly within LGBTQ and diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine appropriate diagnoses.
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and address patient concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses treatment options medications and preventive health measures.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Communicate test results and treatment recommendations to patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in electronic health systems.
- Monitor patient progress through follow-up visits and ongoing care management.
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Provide in-office treatments and clinical procedures within scope of practice.
- Promote preventive healthcare practices including routine screenings nutrition exercise and wellness strategies.
- Supervise and collaborate with nurses physician assistants nurse practitioners and other clinical staff.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations standards and confidentiality requirements.
- Participate in continuing medical education professional development and clinical research activities as appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
- Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience in a hospital clinic or private practice setting.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation systems.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to discuss sensitive or complex medical information.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and patient management abilities.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations including HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
Preferred
- Experience providing care for patients with HIV/AIDS Hepatitis C chronic diseases and infectious diseases.
- Familiarity with public health reporting requirements and preventive care initiatives.
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and the impact of psychosocial behavioral and motivational factors on health outcomes.
- Experience working with LGBTQ individuals and diverse multicultural patient populations.
