Hancock Daniel a nationally recognized health law firm is hiring a civil litigation Associate Attorneywith experience in complex defense work or medical malpracticeto join our Medical Malpractice Defense Team in Richmond Virginia.

What Youll Do

Youll be trusted with meaningful hands-on litigation work from the start including:

• Case evaluation and strategy development
• Client interaction and collaboration with experienced partners
• Engagement with medical experts
• Pleadings written discovery depositions motions and trial prep
• Courtroom exposure and growth as a litigator

Who Were Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice in Virginia or ability to waive in
• 3-10 years of litigation experience (preferably in medical malpractice or civil defense)
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Familiarity with medical terminologyor willingness to learn
• A commitment to exceptional client service and continuous learning

At the time of posting the expected hiring range for this position is $115000 to $175000. An individuals placement within the range will be determined based on relevant factors including but not limited to education training skills licensure and certifications practice area experience internal equity and market data.
