• Supports and communicates Laboratory initiatives and philosophies.
  
• Collects Processes and Receives specimens (including blood urine fecal body fluid) to be analyzed in all departments of the clinical laboratory (listed above). Evaluates and solves problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens of analysis of all age ranges.
  
• Participates in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory in terms of personnel equipment cost and establishment of reference intervals; writes and revises technical procedures.
  
• Performs complex laboratory procedures; recognizes deviation from expected results; analyzes and corrects problems using scientific principles.
  
• Analyzes quality control data makes judgments concerning results and takes appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
  
• Answers inquiries regarding test results methodology test specificity and sensitivity and specific factors that influence test results.
  
• Reviews all instrument indicators and temperature monitors for laboratory departments
  
• Responsible for maintaining self-competency in laboratory skills.
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience
  
• Bachelors degree (or Associates Degree for grandfathered personnel)
  
• New MT Graduate must pass certification exam within 6 months of employment start date
  
• Must have CLS or MT (ASCP) or equivalent
  
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  
• Effective team skills including interaction support and respect are required.
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Excellent communication skills professionalism and reliability
  
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents completing forms opening and sending e-mail messages.
