Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Mashpee Massachusetts
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Compensation:
- Traveler Rate: $53$56/hour ($1987$2100/week)
- Local Rate: $47$50/hour ($1762$1875/week)
Schedule:
- 40 Hours per Week
- Day Shift
- 8:00 AM 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform high-quality clinical laboratory testing in a physician office laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently at times ensuring accurate testing documentation and timely communication of critical results.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Science OR completion of accredited MLT program preferred
- ASCP or NCA certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Ability to work independently in a physician office lab setting
- Strong communication skills in English required
- Recent Core Lab experience preferred
- Epic Beaker experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
- Collect and process patient specimens (blood and body fluids)
- Operate calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Perform routine quality control and maintenance checks
- Communicate critical lab values to providers in a timely manner
- Maintain compliance with CLIA state regulations and laboratory protocols
- Ensure proper specimen handling labeling and transport
- Assist with training and orientation of new staff or students
- Maintain clean and safe laboratory work environment
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives
