Job Summary

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Location: Mashpee Massachusetts

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Compensation:

  • Traveler Rate: $53$56/hour ($1987$2100/week)
  • Local Rate: $47$50/hour ($1762$1875/week)

Schedule:

  • 40 Hours per Week
  • Day Shift
  • 8:00 AM 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform high-quality clinical laboratory testing in a physician office laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently at times ensuring accurate testing documentation and timely communication of critical results.

Requirements
  • Associates degree in Science OR completion of accredited MLT program preferred
  • ASCP or NCA certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a physician office lab setting
  • Strong communication skills in English required
  • Recent Core Lab experience preferred
  • Epic Beaker experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
  • Collect and process patient specimens (blood and body fluids)
  • Operate calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Perform routine quality control and maintenance checks
  • Communicate critical lab values to providers in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with CLIA state regulations and laboratory protocols
  • Ensure proper specimen handling labeling and transport
  • Assist with training and orientation of new staff or students
  • Maintain clean and safe laboratory work environment
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives
