Job Description:

Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our specialty blood component manufacturing/high complexity testing reference laboratories. Regardless of your experience in this field we have a position tailored to your skill level.

• Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology including antibody identification antigen typing absorptions elution and cross match.(Ref Lab)
• Perform production processing and labeling of blood components and blood donations (Manu Lab)
• Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
• Review and report test results participate in investigative studies participate in quality control preventative maintenance and validations.
• Receive coaching encouragement and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
• Bachelors degree in chemical physical biological medical technology or clinical laboratory science required.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required.
• State licensure as required by regulations.
• Minimum two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting or Blood Banking certification required.
