What Youll Do:

TheMedical Directorperforms administrative functions and serves as a key leader for the Phoenix facility. Directs care through identification and implementation of treatment approaches and guidelines for the facility. Leads coordinates and provides medical/clinical services to specified individuals within the facility.

  • Performs medical review of all clinical practices including safety protocols.
  • Functions as representative/clinical leader forPhoenixregardingclinical care and practices for regulatoryagenciesfacilityand external stakeholders.
  • Facilitates direct clinical care for at least50% of the work week.Acts as a point of clinical contact and supervisory role in-person or by telecommunication at all hours of the day/week (PTO excluded). Serves as an Administrator on Call for the Leadership Team.
  • Providesclinical guidance to clinical services staff for escalated clinical cases. Serves as a point of contact at all hours of the day/week.
  • Supportssupervisesand innovates within our leadership structure ensuringmidlevel medical practitionersareadequately prepared to provide high quality care underappropriatephysiciansupervision.
  • Ensures professional conduct and manages conflict resolution of Clinical Services staff.Reviewsparticipatesin and engages in corrective actions as indicated.
  • Responsible for hiring and termination ofMedicalServices staff.
  • Responsible for overseeingonboardingand training process for new Medical Services staff.
  • Participates in thefacilitysLeadership Teamspecifically as theMedicalcounterpart to theOperationsleader(s)working in a dyad structureto overseethefacilitys clinical operations anddevelop and implementproceduresthat support the strategic mission of the company.
  • May serveas the attending psychiatrist to specifiedpatients.
  • Completes initial psychiatric assessments crisis interventions family interventions focused crisis diagnostic assessments assessments of capacityfor consent to treatment risk assessments patient education progress towards treatment goals and discharge planning including medical psychological socialbehavioraland developmental aspects of thepatientscare treatment and services.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary staff membersto ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for thepatientin addition to working with outside psychiatric providers inoutpatientand inpatient services.
  • Serves as subject matter expert in local involuntary treatment process and statutes. Works with the legal community to review involuntary petitions assess involuntary patients and coordinate with the legal system to follow established guidelines for Court Ordered Evaluation and Treatment.
  • Serves on the Medical Executive Committee as well as other committees when clinical expertise is required.
  • Works directly with the Quality and Compliance teams with regards to all process improvement projects and compliance surveys and responsibilities.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

What Youll Bring:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
  • Completion ofACGME accreditedpsychiatric residency training programs in the delivery of mental health treatmentofchildren adolescents and/or adults
  • 3 years of post-residency psychiatric careexperience
  • Licensed by the State of Arizona
  • Board Eligibilityin Adult Psychiatry
  • Unrestricted DEA license
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated including showing proper documentation or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Companys exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
  • Complete all credentialing requirements within the required time period including but not limited to obtaining a National Provider Identifier (NPI) Medallion enrollment Medicare enrollment and any other necessary credentials as required for the role

It would be great if you had:

  • Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry
  • Prior administrative experience
  • Priorpost-residency clinical work with the SMI population
  • Prior post-residency clinical work involving involuntary treatment
  • Prior post-residency clinical work in emergency psychiatry
