Adelphi is seeking a licensed physician to serve as Medical Director for a full-time short-term locum assignment in Cameron County Texas. The ideal candidate will provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for individuals with complex medical psychiatric and behavioral health needs.

Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) licensed by the State of Texas
Active DEA registration
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Ability to enroll as a Medicaid and Medicare Part B provider
Prior medical director supervisory or clinical leadership experience preferred
Experience managing complex medical psychiatric and/or behavioral health needs preferred
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
Ability to meet all agency and facility requirements prior to start
Responsibilities
Direct medical services across primary care psychiatric dental pharmaceutical and lab functions.
Oversee diagnosis and treatment for individuals with complex medical and behavioral needs.
Maintain responsibility for overall medical care and clinical service quality.
Serve as primary care physician for an assigned caseload.
Supervise physicians APRNs PAs pharmacists dentists psychiatrists and contracted staff.
Support clinical staff with complex cases and treatment planning.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings committees conferences and work groups.
Develop and share the on-call duty schedule.
Ensure compliance with applicable policies standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate care for employees injured while on duty.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Support emergency response and continuity operations as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
