Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the US Medical Affairs (USMA)Dermatology Lead and based at aPfizerheadquarterslocation: Collegeville PA or Hudson Yards NYCthe Medical Director will contribute to the planning and execution of medical strategies and tactics for Pfizers dermatology franchiseand expanding portfolio of medicines in I & I / Specialty Care. The Directorwill be an integral member of the US Medical Affairs-Dermatologyteam as a part ofthe broaderUS Specialty Carebusiness unitsupporting currentmarketed medicinesas well ascompoundsin clinical developmentpipelinemedicines and life-cycle managementdepending onidentifiedbusiness needs and Director will provide Pfizer brand teams with customer and clinical insights toinformPfizer strategies on critical health issuesfacilitate the development of customer-focusedscientifically-based and clinically relevant resources and tools to supportmedical communicationsand engagements to improve patient outcomes andaccess to quality medicines.

The Director will develop long-term relationships with a wide variety of key healthcare stakeholders and customers including professional organizations patient societieshealthcare providersand key opinion leaders todemonstrateclinical and economic value of activities areintendedtoeducate andhelp informon the benefit/risk profile and the safe and effective use of our medicines withHCPs and formulary decision-makers through medical presentations pharmaco-economic analyses and outcomes evaluations;along with the Organized Customer Group and Field Medical customer collaborations are built with the goal of aligning corporate medical priorities with the specific needs of the customer to advance the quality of patient care in areas of mutualscientific and clinical interesttoidentify provider and/or patientcare gaps andknowledge gaps and areas for Director will develop in conjunction with Medicaland cross-functionalteam colleagues an advanced perspective of the evolving clinical and healthcare landscape withinDermatologyand other aligned therapeutic areas.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES(including but not limited to):

  • Participate in reviewing & approving promotional and non-promotional materials ensuring fair balance

  • Collaborate with cross functional colleaguesfrom Commercial Organized Customer Field Medical HEOR and relevant internal stakeholdersto drive US strategic directionforthebrands

  • Ability to plan and lead successful advisory boards congress-related symposia & congress planning

  • Ability to contributeand leadpublication planning data generation activities and other medical/scientific activities related to informing HCPsonappropriateuseof Pfizer medicines

  • Serve as a reliable trusted source ofaccurateand scientific knowledge for theclinicaldata disease state product label and competitiveintelligencedata setsfromclinical trialsand other sources of available scientific information

  • Participate in developing andmaintainingHCP engagement plans for HQ Medical Affairs

  • Congresssupportin collaboration withUS and Globalcolleagues

  • Support internal data interpretation and alignment activities

  • Support evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange

  • Support internal medical training curriculum in collaboration with the I&I medical affairs capabilities group

  • Work with marketing and training group onappropriate timelinesand expectations for Sales Training

  • Support training needs through partnership in developing materials and provide expert medical presentations and education

  • Support development of training modules

  • Partner with MI colleagues to provide expert input into Medical Letters and ensure updates as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidatedemonstratesa breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • MD/DOprofessional degree with4 years of experience inDermatology(or related field)pharmaceutical industry clinical/medical practice or combination of these

  • Relationship builder within and outside of Pfizer

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Team oriented for success

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Specialty training and board certification in Dermatology

  • Clinical experience in Dermatologyor Immunology

  • Experience in Medical Affairs

  • Experience or understanding of clinicaltrialsand drug development

  • Proven ability tofacilitateopen discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships

  • Well-organized with the ability to be flexible prioritize multiple demands and effectively lead in a matrix organization

  • Creativity resourcefulness highenergyand flexibility

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $230900.00 to $384800.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
