Medical Assistant

A medical practice is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to support patient care clinical workflows and day-to-day office operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients providers and a supportive healthcare team in a professional patient-centered environment.

The Medical Assistant will assist with rooming patients taking vitals documenting information supporting procedures coordinating care and helping ensure the practice runs smoothly.

• Greet and room patients in a friendly professional manner
  
• Take and record vital signs patient history medications and reason for visit
  
• Assist providers with exams procedures and routine clinical tasks
  
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and organized
  
• Perform basic clinical duties such as injections specimen collection EKGs or point-of-care testing as assigned and within scope
  
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
  
• Communicate with patients regarding follow-up instructions referrals prescriptions and basic care coordination
  
• Answer patient questions within scope and escalate clinical concerns to the provider or appropriate team member
  
• Support front office tasks as needed including scheduling phone calls insurance updates and patient communication
  
• Maintain cleanliness safety infection control and HIPAA compliance standards
  
• Help create a welcoming and efficient patient experience in a small practice setting
