Location: Juneau Alaska
Pay Rate: $46/hr
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours/week across clinic hours: Monday Friday 7:45 AM 6:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Total Working Hours per week: 40
Experience: Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
About the Role
We are hiring a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant to support optometry clinic services in Juneau Alaska. This role involves assisting eye care providers supporting patient care handling optical and imaging duties and ensuring accurate documentation and excellent patient service.
Responsibilities

Room and screen patients for optometry providers.

Perform optical testing point-of-care testing and ocular imaging.

Assist with frame selection measurements order entry payments dispensing repairs and warranty replacements.

Support inventory management supply ordering invoice reconciliation and clinic documentation.

Assist with referrals patient scheduling phone calls triage support and patient paperwork.

Maintain patient confidentiality and work collaboratively with the clinic team.
Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.

National Medical Assistant Certification required.

BLS/BCLS certification required.

CMA or CCMA certification required.

Flu vaccine required.

Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.

Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility address.

Strong customer service communication documentation and attention-to-detail skills required.
