Join our growing Outpatient Oncology & Infusion Center in Hartford CT where youll play a vital role supporting patients as they navigate cancer treatment and infusion therapies. Were seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

What Youll Do

As an integral member of our oncology team you will:

• Prepare exam rooms infusion areas and clinical supplies for patient visits.

• Room patients and obtain vital signs health histories medication lists and allergy information.

• Assist physicians advanced practice providers and nursing staff during patient visits and procedures.

• Coordinate patient flow to ensure a positive and efficient experience.

• Document clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Process laboratory specimens and assist with diagnostic testing coordination.

• Schedule appointments follow-up visits referrals and diagnostic services.

• Provide compassionate support and education to oncology and hematology patients and families.

• Answer patient calls relay messages and communicate effectively with providers and care teams.

• Ensure compliance with safety infection prevention HIPAA and quality standards.

What Youll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred.

• National Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice specialty clinic oncology infusion or ambulatory setting preferred.

• Strong communication organization and multitasking skills.

• Experience with Epic or other electronic medical records systems preferred.

• Ability to provide compassionate care to patients facing complex medical conditions.
