Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Naperville IL

Type: Contract 7 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift

  • Monday Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 10:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM 12:00 PM

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Naperville IL.

Responsibilities

  • Support front and back office clinical operations.
  • Greet room and prepare patients for provider visits.
  • Obtain and accurately document patient information and vital signs.
  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and blood draw procedures.
  • Administer vaccines as directed.
  • Perform EKGs and Point-of-Care (POC) testing.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care activities.
  • Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries
  • Maintain and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Ensure smooth patient flow and excellent customer service.
  • Provide additional clinical support as needed.
  • Maintain clean organized and safe patient care areas.
  • Follow all clinic safety infection control and compliance guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 23 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in addition to externship.
  • Front and back office experience required.
  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.
  • EKG experience required.
  • Point-of-Care (POC) testing experience required.
  • Scheduling and patient rooming experience required.
  • Experience taking patient vital signs required.
  • EMR experience required.
  • Current BLS or CPR certification required.
  • Strong communication organizational and computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with health education and patient outreach preferred.
