Care teams are responsible for delivering excellent and compassionate primary care and coordinating the care of our members with the broader healthcare delivery system. The Medical Assistant (MA)-Market Float is a critical role to support the Markets PCPs day-to-day and ensure efficiency in the care provided to patients. MAs will work closely and collaboratively with the market care teams to greet and room ArchWell Health members. S/he will be expected to assist in assessing patients health conditions including performing routine diagnostic testing during MA Market Float may be asked to report to regional centers with short notice. Duties/Responsibilities:Conduct intake with patients measuring and recording vital signs patient interview and medical history; perform examinations and routine screenings ensuring patients are informed and all questions and concerns are addressed for listen and engage with patients throughout appointment ensuring needs and/or changing in patient conditions are reported to PCP specialists and/or other clinical personnelPerform all tasks with a hyper focus on patient experience including processing of patient phone messagesincludingreturning calls; routing calls to other team members as appropriate; calling patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for dressings apply bandages remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPRskillswhen necessary all under physiciansupervisionEnsure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct accurate legal and ethical documentationat health coaching to a defined group of patients to support healthy lifestyle choices; follows up with coached patients via should have the ability to report to other regional centers with short notice. Organization will normally have schedule posted 1 week in advance but there will be occasional needs to float candidate to other center with last minute call outs. Any travel mileage in addition to travel to home center will be reimbursed at the standard Skills/Abilities:Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence andintegritydriven and focused -starter with the ability to think creatively and to work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations including staff providers members family members insurance carriers vendors and communicator that is customer-orientedExcellent critical reasoning decision-making and problem-solving skills to analyze situations determine risks and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve with claims/quality reports and analytical software packagesProficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word PowerPoint Outlook and Excel plus a variety of other word-processing spreadsheet database e-mail and to travel on occasion for company and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR comparable healthcare vocational training (-trained physician paramedic etc.)requiredA minimum of 3 years work experience as a Medical Assistant1 year of phlebotomy for Healthcare Providers or similar EMR experienceExperience working with geriatric patients is a Health is an equal opportunity employer.
