ATC Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to provide clinical and administrative support in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care while ensuring efficient clinic operations.
- Room patients and obtain vital signs medical history and chief complaints.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during procedures.
- Perform clinical duties such as specimen collection EKGs injections and point-of-care testing within scope of practice.
- Administer medications and immunizations as permitted by state regulations and facility policy.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Prepare clean and stock examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Educate patients on medications treatment plans follow-up care and preventive health practices.
- Follow infection prevention HIPAA and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and other members of the healthcare team.
- Support daily clinic operations and perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA RMA CCMA or equivalent) preferred or required by facility policy.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory outpatient or clinic setting preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred.
