Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking a qualified per diem Medical Assistant (MA) to provide school clinic support services in Cobb County Georgia.
The ideal candidate will assist with student health care needs clinic documentation and routine health support services under the direction of appropriate school or nursing personnel.

Requirements:
Medical Assistant credential issued by the Georgia Department of Community Health or the American Association of Medical Assistants.
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Previous school clinic pediatric medical office or student health care experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic clinical procedures infection control and documentation standards.
Ability to maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA requirements.
Responsibilities:
Provide routine health care support services in the school clinic.
Assist students presenting with illness injury or other health concerns.
Support basic clinical tasks within scope of practice and school district guidelines.
Assist with medication-related documentation and clinic records as directed.
Monitor students in the clinic and report health concerns to designated school or nursing personnel.
Assist with first aid vital signs and routine health observations when appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of student clinic visits and services provided.
Follow Universal Precautions OSHA standards infection control procedures and school health protocols.
Maintain a clean organized and safe clinic environment.
Protect confidentiality of student health information and records.
Communicate professionally with students school staff parents/families and medical professionals as appropriate.
Provide support for early morning or After School Program coverage when assigned.
Any other duties as assigned.
