Contract Duration: 6 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 40 Hours per Week
- Monday: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Wednesday & Friday: 6:00 AM 3:00 PM
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) for a short-term contract assignment in an outpatient clinical setting in Maple Grove MN. This role requires a skilled professional with strong front-office and back-office experience including patient intake phlebotomy EKGs scheduling and EMR documentation.
The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while delivering high-quality patient care and clinical support.
- Support both front-office and back-office clinical operations
- Greet room and prepare patients for provider visits
- Take and accurately document patient vital signs
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
- Administer vaccines and provide clinical assistance as needed
- Perform EKGs and Point-of-Care (POC) testing
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate clinic workflow
- Answer phones and assist with patient communication
- Maintain accurate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation
- Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care support
- Ensure exam rooms are clean stocked and prepared for patient visits
- Support patient education and outreach initiatives
- Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
- Deliver quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required (excluding externship)
- 23 years of healthcare or clinical experience preferred
- Front-office and back-office Medical Assistant experience required
- Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience required
- Experience performing EKGs and POC testing required
- Scheduling and patient rooming experience required
- Experience taking and documenting patient vitals required
- EMR experience required
- Current BLS or CPR Certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a clinical setting
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
- Patient education and outreach experience preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills preferred
