Job Summary

Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Melbourne FL
Duration: 9 Weeks (Possible Extension)

Schedule
  • Tuesday: 11:00 AM 5:30 PM
  • Wednesday Friday: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM 1:30 PM
Compensation
  • Pay Rate: $24/hour (W2)
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong patient care skills excellent communication abilities and hands-on experience with phlebotomy EKGs EMR systems and clinical support functions.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily front and back office clinical operations
  • Greet room and prepare patients for provider visits
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs and patient information
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
  • Perform blood draws venipuncture and specimen collection
  • Administer vaccines and assist with routine clinical procedures
  • Perform EKGs and Point of Care (POC) testing
  • Maintain and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately
  • Assist providers and clinical staff throughout patient visits
  • Ensure a positive patient experience and efficient clinic workflow
  • Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 23 years of Medical Assistant experience required
  • Experience with:
    • Phlebotomy/Venipuncture
    • EKG procedures
    • EMR systems
    • Patient rooming
    • Front and back office operations
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Strong communication organizational and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail and professionalism in patient interactions
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting
  • Strong teamwork and customer service skills
  • Comfortable supporting both administrative and clinical functions
  • Adaptability and willingness to assist where needed throughout the clinic day
