Medical Assistant I Urology

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated full-time Medical Assistant I to join our growing Urology team at our American Fork location. Pay Scale: $18$20/hour depending on education and experience

Overview:

As a Medical Assistant you will work alongside physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include patient intake telephone triage insurance authorizations vital signs immunizations phlebotomy exam room preparation and administrative support.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (reading writing and speaking required)

• Answer phones greet patients and schedule appointments
• Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed
• Record vital signs medications allergies and relevant medical information
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up needs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred
• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent repetitive motion involving computers and office equipment
• Work performed in a climate-controlled clinical setting
