Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a contract assignment in New York NY. The ideal candidate will support physicians and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
Medical Assistant certification from an approved school OR equivalent experience
BLS Certification required
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Key Responsibilities
Take vital signs medical history medication history and allergy information
Perform EKGs lab testing PFTs and audiometry as ordered
Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Update insurance and patient demographic information
Handle patient referrals and documentation accurately
Answer phones and communicate professionally with patients and staff
Maintain compliance with OSHA CLIA and infection control standards
Assist physicians with patient care and discharge instructions
Maintain supply inventory and perform daily equipment checks
