Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Vero Beach FL
Type: Contract 8 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift Monday Friday 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Medical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Vero Beach FL.
Responsibilities:
- Support front and back office clinical operations
- Greet room and prepare patients for provider visits
- Obtain and accurately document patient information and vital signs
- Perform blood draws and phlebotomy procedures
- Assist providers with patient care and preventative health services
- Maintain and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care activities
- Answer patient inquiries and assist with administrative tasks
- Ensure smooth patient flow and excellent customer service
- Maintain clean organized and safe patient care areas
- Follow all clinic safety infection control and compliance guidelines
Requirements:
- Front and back office experience required
- Phlebotomy/blood draw experience required
- Knowledge of primary care and preventative services required
- Current BLS or CPR certification required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Experience working in a primary care setting preferred
- EMR experience preferred
- Experience supporting preventative care programs preferred
