Full-time 40-hour-per-week benefit-eligible position
Predictable weekday schedule of MondayFriday 8:00 AM5:00 PM with rotating Saturday coverage (8:00 AM12:00 PM) at our Himes or Brandon clinics. Occasional schedule adjustments may be required to support clinic coverage.

About the Job
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Medical Assistant Float to support multiple Health Center locations within the Tampa/Brandon this role youll partner with providers to deliver exceptional patient care perform both clinical and administrative responsibilities and help ensure a seamless patient experience across our clinics. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety works well independently and thrives in a collaborative patient-centered environment.
What Youll Do
Greet and room patients while creating a positive patient experience
Measure and document vital signs patient history and clinical information
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
Perform phlebotomy and collect blood and urine samples
Support front office and administrative clinic functions as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and workflows
Deliver concierge-level customer service and compassionate patient care
Exercise sound clinical judgment within scope of role
Travel between assigned clinic locations to provide coverage and operational support as needed
What Youll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current BLS Certification required
One of the following qualifications:
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program with diploma/certificate and at least 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience
Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience obtained through on-the-job training
Relevant military medic experience
Strong patient care communication and customer service skills
Phlebotomy experience preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced patient-centered clinical environment
Flexibility and willingness to travel between assigned clinic locations
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and changing clinical environment
Reliable transportation is required
Location & Travel Requirements
This Float Medical Assistant role supports three Health Center locations (two in Tampa and one in Brandon). Local travel between assigned sites is required based on operational needs. Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible travel between clinic locations.
