Location: Suffolk County NY (Locations: Riverhead Wading River Rocky Point Mt. Sinai Port Jefferson Three Village & East Setauket)

Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour days Mon-Fri 7a-6p

Organization: New York Health (NYH) - Primary Care

In this role you will:

• Manage patient intakes ensuring accurate information recording.

• Collect and process lab specimens including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.

• Record patients vital signs.

• Prepare patients for examinations.

• Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.

• Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process.

• Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures.

• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.

• Other duties as assigned.

We require:

• A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma

• Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred)

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer standing bending and reaching

• Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

• Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs
