About the Job

Were seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our employer-sponsored healthcare partnership with LG&E-KU Energy across Louisville Ghent and Trimble.

This position combines patient care in our health centers with planned Occupational Health events at LG&E-KU Energy plant locations. Travel is structured and scheduled in advance with assignments at Ghent and Trimble occurring approximately two weeks per month during 10 months of the year.

If you enjoy a consistent schedule while expanding your clinical skills in multiple care settings this role offers the best of both worlds.

What Youll Do

  • Greet and room patients while creating a positive patient experience

  • Measure and document vital signs patient history and clinical information

  • Assist providers during patient visits

  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection

  • Support front office and administrative functions as needed

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation

  • Deliver exceptional patient-centered care

  • Support scheduled Occupational Health services at LG&E-KU Energy plant locations

What Youll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Current BLS Certification required

  • One of the following:

    • Completion of a Medical Assistant program plus 2 years of recent MA experience

    • 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience

    • Relevant military medic experience

  • Strong patient care communication and customer service skills

  • Phlebotomy experience preferred

  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred

  • Reliable transportation

Location & Travel

This position supports CareATC health centers and LG&E-KU Energy plant locations in Louisville Ghent and Trimble.

Travel is a planned part of the role. During designated months (approximately 7-9 months each year) youll travel to Ghent and Trimble for scheduled Occupational Health programs approximately two weeks per month. Eligible mileage between work locations is reimbursed.
