What Youll Do as a Medical Assistant:
Primary duties:
- Assist in coordinating care in the Elkhart Outpatient department.
- Will administer medications phlebotomy services precautions monitoring and pain reassessments.
- Will work interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care to clients.
- Knows the organizations and departments goals.
- Is sensitive to the interrelationships of both people and functions within the department.
- Will follow Meaningful Use measures.
- May also be required to provide injections test blood glucose and/or draw blood for lab tests.
- Interacts directly with clients and families.
- Interacts frequently with physicians and other center employees involved in the case.
- The frequency varies with needs availability of client and directives from clinician working with the patient and treatment plan.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Certification or Registration adjustment
- Associate of Applied Science degree from a CAAHEP or AMT-accredited program preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical or community experience recommended.
