Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant II for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cincinnati OH.
Responsibilities
Maintain patient flow during clinic hours and assist with patient care activities.
Measure and document vital signs medical histories and review of systems.
Accurately maintain and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Prepare patient charts and review diagnostic test results and hospital reports.
Process prescription refills and prior authorizations.
Perform phlebotomy vaccinations EKGs and other assigned clinical procedures.
Assist with wound care cast removals and stitch removals as directed.
Answer incoming calls schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in/check-out.
Complete pre-certifications and respond to patient inquiries.
Maintain clean stocked examination rooms and order medical supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA safety standards and clinic policies.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Strong clinical administrative and patient care skills.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Excellent communication organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to travel between clinic locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
Experience in a specialty clinic or surgical practice setting.
Phlebotomy EKG and vaccination administration experience.
