Position Overview

Fox Subacute Philadelphia is seeking a detail-oriented and solution-driven Medicaid Specialistto support our admissions and reimbursement processes. This role plays a vital part in assisting residents and families with Medicaid applications renewals and eligibility verification while also supporting private pay collections and admissions documentation.

The ideal candidate is extremely organized proactive and an excellent communicator with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents families or representatives with Medicaid applications and renewals
• Collect review and organize required documentation (income identification residency medical records etc.)
• Verify Medicaid eligibility and coverage status
• Communicate with state Medicaid agencies regarding application status updates or corrections
• Track deadlines and follow up on pending applications or missing documentation
• Educate residents and families on Medicaid benefits coverage limits and renewal requirements
• Maintain accurate confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations
• Support healthcare staff social workers and case managers with Medicaid-related tasks
• Assist and obtain private pay collections weekly
• Support admissions by filing and assisting with documentation
• Stay informed on changes in Medicaid policies and eligibility rules
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Excellent customer service phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong skills in Microsoft office (Outlook Excel Word etc.)
• Ability to take initiative problem-solve and work independently
• Experience in long-term care skilled nursing or healthcare administration is a plus
• Knowledge of Medicaid processes or healthcare reimbursement preferred
