Job Summary

Medicaid Specialist

Position Summary:
We are seeking a responsible organized and proactive individual to manage Medicaid accounts for assigned nursing home facilities. This role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills as you will serve as the primary point of contact for your facilities ensuring accounts are properly managed and payments are collected by month-end.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee Medicaid accounts for 12 assigned nursing home facilities.
Serve as the main point of contact for facility administrators and staff.
Maintain regular communication with facilities regarding account status outstanding balances and required documentation.
Submit and monitor Medicaid billing and reimbursement activity.
Follow up on outstanding claims payments and account discrepancies.
Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure timely payment collection.
Track account activity and provide updates on payment status.
Ensure all accounts are reconciled and payments are received by the end of each month.

Qualifications:

Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
Highly organized with excellent follow-up abilities.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in healthcare administration medical billing Medicaid or accounts receivable preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer systems.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned accounts.
