Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)
Location: Panama City FL
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (238-bed)
Schedule: Full-Time Days (7:00 AM7:00 PM) & Nights (7:00 PM7:00 AM) Rotating Weekends
Pay Rate: $29.92 $44.88/Hour (Midpoint: $39.21/Hour)
Night Shift Differential: $4.00/Hour
Bonuses: Sign-on & relocation (case-by-case not guaranteed)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing inpatient care team. This role follows the Assess Perform Teach and Manage model and focuses on delivering safe patient-centered care across a diverse adult patient population.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and throughout each shift.
Identify and report changes in patient condition promptly.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
Carry out physician-ordered treatments and clinical procedures.
Provide accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Educate patients and families on diagnoses medications and discharge planning.
Advocate for patient safety comfort and quality outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
ADN or Nursing Diploma required (BSN preferred).
Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (Florida licensure required within 60 days if relocating).
BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Must have acute care RN experience.
Recent acute care experience within 35 years depending on total RN experience.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in high-acuity hospital settings.
