What youll do:
As a Medical Lab Scientist for our Cellular Therapy Lab you will conduct testing and processing of biological specimens that are used to treat cancer patients. These specimens provide the biological material for patient transplant of diseased bone marrow or the creation of patient specific vaccines specifically developed to treat a patients cancer. You will play a vital role in supporting patient care by performing accurate and timely laboratory testing used in the diagnosis treatment and prevention of disease. Testing domains include waived moderate and highcomplexity procedures. Conducts and documents established quality control procedures on analytical tests equipment reagents media and products; evaluates the results of quality control testing and implements corrective action according to established protocols to ensure the accuracy and quality of patient testing. Participates in the validation of laboratory methods and procedures to meet the changing health care needs of our patients. Required: Experience with waived moderate and highcomplexity testing in a clinical laboratory settingthrough education or handson work experience.
What youll need for this job:
Education (Required)Bachelors Degree in one of the following:
Medical Laboratory Science Program
Medical Technologist
Biology
Chemistry
Preferred: ASCPcertified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent. Other acceptable certifications: ASCP or HEW
- 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Compensation:
Salary Range: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
