Mechanical Technician I

The Role:

Entegris is currently seeking aMechanical Technicianto join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo CA.

TheMechanicalTechnicianwill be responsibleforperforming tasks related to building our Ultra High Purity Systems. This willinclude butnot limitedto manufacturing various sub-assemblies to engineering specifications as well as assist with routing cables and conduit on our systems. This position is expected to always operate in a safe manner and comply with all applicable work instructions.

What Youll Do:

• Learn and understand standard and non-standard options per the Customer Data Sheets (CDS) requirements.

• Work from instructions drawings schematics piping and instrumentation drawings illustrations and process documentation to assemble a variety of mechanical electrical subassemblies and systems with supervision.

• Follow verbal instructions.

• Build sub-assemblies with supervision.

• Learn Cabinet Preparation by installing bracketing piping insulation and sub-assemblies with supervision.

• Learn engineering specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.

• Perform routine repetitive assembly operations and processes to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.

• Complete 6S responsibilities (sort set in order shine standardize sustain safety)

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain or increase On-Time Shipments.

• Work safely and recognize the safety of others.

• Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.

• Learn proper measuring techniques tool use care and quality standards.

• Work with a team as well as independently when needed.

• Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.

• 0-2 yearsexperiencemechanical assembly and/or relevant experience.

• Ability to learn to navigate through operatingsystemto findBOMs drawings andinstructions.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to50lbsdaily.

• Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods oftime.

• Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and productquality.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic teamenvironment.

• Ability to learn howhandlematerialresponsibly.

• Dependability and flexibility to work overtimeandweekends to support businessneeds.
