Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect HVAC installations repairs and alterations for compliance with City codes and ordinances.
• Review permit applications plans and specifications and approve permits as appropriate.
• Investigate complaints identify code violations and inspect existing structures for unsafe conditions.
• Maintain inspection records prepare reports and issue notices of violations and corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to contractors property owners design professionals and the public on code requirements.
• Enforce HVAC codes through stop- work orders legal proceedings and court testimony as required.

Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.

To be eligible to apply current City employees must have completed their probationary period and attained certified status in their current position.
