Position: Mechanical Engineering Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65$90/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate written content and AI-generated responses in mechanical engineering for accuracy and quality.
• Answer questions and provide clear well-reasoned feedback based on professional experience.
• Identify useful reference material relevant to mechanical engineering.
• Share insights into mechanical engineering tools workflows and standards.
• Collaborate with other subject-matter experts across different fields.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Degree-qualified mechanical engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the US.
• 2 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Familiarity with codes and standards (e.g. ASME) and tools (SolidWorks ANSYS AutoCAD).
• Professional working English.
• Based in the United States.
• Commitment to about 10 hours per week.

Preferred

• Experience writing technical documentation specs or training material.
• Comfortable using everyday AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT).
