As a Mechanical Engineer Vehicle you will be a member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient
designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains managing complex interfaces and integrating train systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Create manage and maintain weight distribution lists of railway vehicles
- Coordinate technical and project requirements regarding weight and center of gravity management betweeninternal engineering teams and suppliers.
- Support bid engineering with new vehicle concepts to meet minimum and maximum mass requirements
- Execute static and dynamic vehicle envelope calculations considering track geometry vehicle movement andgeometric constraints
- Support bid engineering by evaluating potential customers track geometry and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with local federal and customer requirements
- Define procurement documentation type testing and commissioning documentation.
- Support static and dynamic field testing of rail scheduling budgetary goals and guidelines.
- Ensure clear and effective cross-departmental collaboration.
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical Aerospace or similar Engineering discipline.
- 0-2 (Level I) 2-5 (II) 5-8 (III) 8-10 (IV) 10 (Sr.) years of relevant experience in railway defenseautomotive aerospace or equal
- Experience with analytical calculations
- High attention to detail
- Independent and well-structured working methods
- Able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative to maintain project timelines
- Excellent communication technical writing and problem-solving skills
- Great 3D and 2D CAD skills (CATIA V5 is a plus)
- Experience working in a PLM system (SmarTeam or TeamCenter is a plus)
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written). German is a plus!
