At American Cutting Edge we design and manufacture custom industrial blades and cutting solutions used in food processing packaging recycling medical and other specialized industries. As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op or Intern youll work alongside experienced engineers and gain valuable exposure to product design manufacturing customer collaboration and problem-solving.
What Youll Do
- Create and modify detailed product drawings using AutoCAD.
- Reverse-engineer existing parts and develop technical drawings from samples.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing engineering drawing databases.
- Collaborate with engineering sales and production teams to support customer projects.
- Communicate with customers regarding product specifications and technical details.
- Participate in real-world engineering projects from concept through production.
- Gain exposure to manufacturing processes custom product development and industrial applications.
What Were Looking For
- Currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Experience with or coursework in AutoCAD drafting software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in how products are designed and manufactured.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with engineering terminology and drafting principles preferred.
