The Airborne Radar Design Department is currently seeking an early careerMechanical Engineerfor theRadar Antenna Design IIsection in El person in this position will be involved in electronics packaging design forairborneradarsubsystems includingAntenna Receiver Exciter Processor and Power will include mechanical engineering support throughout the hardware life cycle including concept development preliminary and detail designselection ofprecision machining techniques transition to production productionsupportand installation. Typical technologies include electronic enclosures heat exchangers (coldwalls) machined components RF microwave assemblies and power converter unitsoftenwith challengingsizeweightpower andcostrequirements.

What You Will Do:

• Provide technical support on major programs andinterface withLead Mechanical Engineers and Chief Engineers to support designobjectives.
• Contribute toproject teams through design development and will be expected to ensure that the established procedures are followed in the creation of technical data packageswhile meeting program design objectives.
• Work from requirements tohelpdevelop unit design concepts and perform design todeveloping technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
• Complete detailed layouts and design documentation using Computer Aided Design tools.
• Provide support to suppliers who are fabricating components and assemblies.
• Work alongside Cross-Functional Engineering groups to ensure project deadlines are achieved.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires aBachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)degreeora minimumof1year prior relevant experienceto include any combination of the following:
• Experience with ANSI drawing standards.
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances).
• Experience with electronic packaging.
• The ability to obtain andmaintaina US security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Proficiencywith CREO or similar 3D solid modeling software.
• Positive and curious attitude
• Strong technical background with high technical aptitude.
• Hands-on mechanical project experience.
• Current DoDsecurity clearance.

The salary range for this role is 62900 USD - 119700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
