Title: Mechanical Engineer 1

MACOM is seeking an entry level mechanical engineer/designerto support our growing RF pallet and module product lines. MACOM is developing modules and systems foruse in aerospace and defense industries telecommunication industriesphotonics and space communication. Thisever-growing modules business demands expertise with the highest levels ofintegration compact designs exquisite thermal management and the lightestform factors.

The design engineer will be responsible formechanical housing designs through the entire lifecycle of a product startingfrom a paper design all the way through manufacturing hardware integrationwith electrical subsystems system test thermal analysis vibration testingand qualification and final delivery to customer.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in CAD/CAM stress analysis thermal experience with designing products fixtures housings for RF systems highly desirable.
• Hands-on problem solving with experience creating and assembling hardware for experimentation and design feasibility studies.
• Able to use and be proficient in 3D SolidWorks mechanical engineering software with experience using thermal and stress simulation add-ins is a plus.
• Ability to learn in a production environment working with new types of RF test equipment and software.
• Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
• Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.
• Self-motivated hard-working fast learner and well-organized.
• Mature highly responsible a good team player with good presentation skills.
• Creative execution of ideas into mechanical designs.
• Detail oriented with strong fundamentals in core engineering principles.
• Shows initiative and Can-Do attitude to address daily problems to achieve rapid resolution. Willing to work in a self-directed environment.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering peer groups in a dynamic collaborative and results oriented environment.
• Fluent in English both oral and written.
• Due to ITAR regulations only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens U.S. nationals lawful permanent residents or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.
• Job may require travel within the US and internationally to meet with customers and suppliers.

TheSalary Range for this position is $75000 $85000 annually. Actual salaryoffered to candidate will depend on several factors including but not limitedto work location relevant candidates experience education and specificknowledge skills and abilities.
