Mechanical Engineer

Ground Force/Mega of Albuquerque has an amazing opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer. This position is responsible for the design and documentation of mechanical electro-mechanical and hydraulic products and systems. The incumbent will focus on designing systems that are efficient cost-effective and meet all Company guidelines and schedules. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for exercising independent judgment in the best practice for the industry while synthesizing internal customer desires corporate practices and department objectives while striving to meet customer demands. The starting salary range is $80k - $100k depending on experience.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluates mechanical electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems and products by designing and conducting research programs applying principles of mechanics thermodynamics hydraulics heat transfer and strength of materials.
• Develops products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators production personnel and other internal customers.

• Demonstrate proficiency with SolidWorks modeling as needed.
• Translate design data into accurate and complete ERP data.
• Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Travels to customer sites as required to observe operations investigate failures or sell products; capable of traveling within the US and on occasion outside the US; willing to travel to customer sites including surface and underground mines.
• Always maintains an appropriate and professional demeanor particularly during customer-facing interactions.
• Responsible for professional clear concise and timely communications to all stakeholders and holding self consistently to the highest standard of interaction.
• Maintain a positive respectful work interaction within the internal and external environment including with vendors as appropriate.
• Comply with Company health housekeeping safety regulatory agency and environmental policies.
• Effective and efficient management of time.
