Mechanical Assembler/Brake Specialist

Job Summary

The Assembler will assemble manufactured products according to specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all custom brake assemblies.
  • Assemble various heavy machinery fabricated metal products.
  • Read blueprints schematics or similar documentation to build to specification.
  • Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Relevant experience with heavy machinery assembly required.
  • Adheres to all safety rules guidelines and codes.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Must have and be able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous experience operating hand tools required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Detail-oriented consistent workmanship.
  • Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of heavy equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
  • Superior skill operating assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Basic ability in mathematics reading or writing.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed including bending stooping and reaching.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must wear safety glasses face shield gloves and ear protection.
