Mechanical Assembly General Labor 1st Shift

Northern Manufacturing a worldwide leader in custom stainless steel fabrication is looking for a motivated hard-working individual to join our Mechanical Assembly team on 1st shift.

Schedule: MondayFriday 6:00 a.m.3:30 p.m.

If youre mechanically inclined enjoy working with your hands and like a job where youre not doing the exact same thing every day this could be a great opportunity. Youll work alongside experienced team members assembling custom-fabricated equipment and helping with a variety of shop projects.

• Assist with the mechanical assembly of custom equipment including gearboxes motors drums and other components.
• Work from prints and instructions to help ensure components are installed and assembled correctly.
• Use hand tools power tools machines and other shop equipment under the direction of experienced team members.
• Assist experienced welders and fabricators with fabrication and assembly projects by supplying materials preparing parts and completing assigned tasks.
• Perform a variety of hands-on shop work including finishing edges tapping holes punching parts cutting material cleaning parts and acid washing.
• Identify defective parts equipment issues or problems during assembly and bring them to the attention of experienced team members.
• Help maintain clean safe and organized work areas and outside storage areas.
• Pitch in wherever needed to help the team keep jobs moving.

Previous manufacturing mechanical assembly fabrication maintenance or similar hands-on experience is helpful but were willing to train the right person with the aptitude and drive to learn.
