Job Summary
- 1st shift - $18-$26
2ndshift - $2.00 shift premium
Weekend AM -$2.00 shift premium
Weekend PM -$4.00 shift premium
TheMechanical Assembler position will have the authority and responsibility to perform material prep finishing and assembly operations within tolerances and planning estimates. This position also produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
Training Skills Knowledge and/or Experience:
- Math skills minimum high school arithmetic
- Blueprint reading skills
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to Detail
- Good and dependable attendance.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions blueprint specifications and parts lists.
- Read and interpret blueprints plannings sketches for material prep and assembly operations.
- Set-up simple fixtures stops and other aids to facilitate operation.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Perform in process inspections on parts and assemblies; verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S standards.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Assist in proof load and other testing operations as required.
- Interface with Quality Assurance personnel regarding inspection criteria and results.
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding cycle times and suggest changes to improve productivity and part accuracy.
- Conform to all requirements of our Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS9100 for example).
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
