WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Do you enjoy variety and the opportunity to work on something different every day Waukesha County Central Fleet is hiring a Mechanic to repair and maintain the equipment that supports critical County operations including the Public Works Sheriffs and Parks departments.

This is a first-shift Monday through Friday position and Waukesha County provides all tools uniforms and reimbursements for items such as work boots and safety glasses.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Three (3) years of experience in the major overhaul and repair of diesel and gasoline powered vehicles and equipment.
3. Recognized post high school training directly in mechanical maintenance may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to one (1) years work experience.
4. Valid drivers license.
5. Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with airbrake endorsement within six (6) months of employment.
